I am not an advanced archer. Can I still compete?

Yes! Conquest Shield is open to all, irrespective of archery experience or skill level. The Qualifiers are designed to include entry-level and intermediate archers within the competition.

Are children allowed to compete?

Conquest Shield is open to youth aged 10 to 14 years. Their skill level will be assessed, and their archery instructor must grant approval.

My bow does not meet the shoot specifications. Can I still participate?

Only traditional bows are permitted, without rests, shelves, cut-outs, markings, sights, or any modern aiming aids.

I am not an Iḥyā ar-Rimāyah member and would love to compete. How do I assess my level?

Levels for non-Iḥyā ar-Rimāyah members will be assessed based on their archery experience.
All archers who have been shooting for more than one year will be placed in the Experienced category*.
All archers who have been shooting for less than one year will be placed in the Entry category*.
You are welcome to move up a level if you wish; however, you may not move down a level or change divisions during the competition.

I am not a shooter or a member. Can I still come?

The energy of the Conquest Shield comes from everyone present, not only the archers. All are welcome to attend as spectators and enjoy the day. A selection of stalls will also be set up, showcasing traditional arts, small businesses, and other initiatives we aim to promote within our community. We would be delighted to see you there!
